The fire department of the city said that a woman died after a fire in a residential building on Nibam Road in Kondahwa area of Pune on Sunday. Another person was injured in flames and a hospital is undergoing treatment, the department said, the fire has been set.
According to reports, a flat caught fire in the Sanshri building of the residential complex. Four fire tenders were pressed for service and flames were submerged.
The concerned officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

PTI said, “Two persons were injured in the incident, including a woman who died after being taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.”
The incident occurred two days after a garment and shoes shop in Pune, shocking at least three shops. The incident occurred late on Thursday night in Kudalwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwar.
There were no casualties in the incident and no one was injured.
The fire tender was taken from four fire stations nearby, Pimpri Chinchwad fire officer Rupesh Jadhav told the news agency PTI. The situation was not good at the arrival of fire tenders, the fire officer said, their team managed to control the flames rapidly.
Millions of property were destroyed by fire which was suppressed a few hours later. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
