Two masked teenagers went to a bank in Bihar and looted Rs 1.5 lakh while closing the bank operator and customers inside. The entire act was caught on CCTV camera.
Teenagers entered a branch of Punjab National Bank or PNB in Hazipur in Vanshli district with their face hidden with a mask.
One of the robbers threatened the customer with his gun, while the other collected cash, which was slightly more than Rs 1.5 lakh.
In the video of the crime site, customers were shown together, some were sitting on mini plastic chairs in the office as the man looted the bank.
A senior police officer said, “Two criminals aged 17 and 18 entered the bank with weapons. They decorated with Rs 1.5 lakh.” The police officer said, “Photos of criminals have been sent to all groups so that people can identify the culprit and inform the local police station.”
Police said that after robbing funds from the bank, the accused escaped from the spot, locked the bank operator and customers inside.
In July last year, four armed people entered a bank in Sheikhpura, Bihar and looted more than Rs 28 lakh. According to the police, four people went to Sri Krishna Chowk branch of Axis Bank of Axis Bank in Sheikhpura city.
According to the witnesses, unknown men first targeted the strong room and then moved to the cash counter. He also looted bank customers before fleeing from the spot.
Bank customer, Gyan Chaudhary said that the robbers placed a gun on their head and forced it to hand over ₹ 41,000 cash. Other customers were also looted.
According to the police, the robbers were aware of the alarm system at the bank branch and cut it properly at the beginning of the robbery.
