According to Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey, the accident occurred when the bus returning from Kumbh developed a technical obstacle on the expressway.
The driver parked it on the roadside and sent someone to bring spare parts. He said that another double-Dekar bus is also returning from prayer, entered into a stable bus while overtaking a car.
The effect was serious, causing passengers to hit their heads against the roof in the parked bus and hit each other with force.
