A young Mohun Bagan will see to book his place in the title clash of the Super Giant Super Giant Side Super Cup 2025, when it takes FC Goa in the semi -finals at Kalinga Stadium on Wednesday.

The absence of major players did not affect MBSG, which defeated a strong Kerala Blasters’ side in the quarter -finals. On the other hand, Goa trusted two goals to win a 2–1 return to Punjab FC.

Despite the huge difference in the experience and strength of squads, Goa coach Manolo Markes was cautious about his opponent.

During the pre-match press conference, Marx said, “I think the game will be very difficult because they have nothing to lose.”

He said, “This is reality. They have already won two trophies and have achieved a slot for the continental competition. Honestly, I would like to live in a position of Mohn Bagan,” he said with a smile.

Later in the day, a revival of Mumbai will take FC to Jamshedpur FC in the second semi -finals.

Both teams had to win hard work in the last phase. While MCFC extended the I-League side difference Kashi 1-0, JFC required little luck to defeat Northeast United FC on penalty.

“JFC is a very good team. He strengthened the season and is now doing a good tournament,” said MCFC head coach Petr Crey.

He said, “But we are ready to try and are ready to stop them from getting several opportunities. If we protect well and execute what we need to execute, I assured to get a positive result,” he said.
