Houston, Texas – 31 July 2025 SDG Data Alliance is pleased to declare a new partnership with Fugro, a global leader in Geo -Detta Solutions, to strengthen optimization and flexibility against climate shock in Caribbean’s small island developing states (SIDS). Many sids face unique environmental challenges, requiring more investment and operation to strengthen against sea level, storms and other risks. In this newly constituted agreement, locally led solutions will be extended by building technical capabilities, access to essential geopolitical information, and promoting flexibility of coastal communities. Fugro and SDG Data Alliance recognizes the importance of high quality geophagical data, digital infrastructure and technical expertise to assess, plan, prepare and respond to those challenges. Fugro will promote innovative, transformational strategies and implementation through high-resolution mapping, expert analysis, data visualization and on—-eye training. SIDS Global Data Hub, a digital data platform within the SIDS Center of Excellence, will serve as an important tool and platform to elevate efforts that align with Antigua and Barbuda agenda for SIDS (ABAS), which is dedicated to helping the island nations achieve flexible prosperity. “The alliance was established as a multi-interest holder partnership and is powered by public-private cooperation that is focused, practical and manufactured for impact. Fugro brings technical depth and regional experiences that can turn ambitions into action.
