AAP leaders resign as Delhi CM after Atishi Party’s defeat, India News – The Times of India

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atisi resigns on Sunday Delhi Chief Minister After losing Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena in Raj Nivism, after losing his party in the assembly elections.
The 43 -year -old leader was serving as the Chief Minister of Delhi since September 2024. He reached the top position after AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal Resigned as CM.
She was the third woman CM of the national capital after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit.
It emerged as a silver lining for AAP as it won from Kalakaji seat, while the BJP dropped its party out of power in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. He won by a margin of 3,521 against BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri.
BJP won a historic mandate in Delhi, returning to power after 27 years. On the other hand, AAP saw a major decline from only 22 seats with its back tally of 62 in the Delhi Poll.
Earlier on Saturday, Atisi accepted the AAP defeat and accepted his personal victory from Kalkji seat, which continues to continue the fight against the BJP.
