The fire extinguishes in a restaurant in Maha Kumbh Mela area, another example in one day


A fire broke out in a restaurant in Maha Kumbh Mela area in prayer on Sunday. Fire tenders were suppressed for service and flames were immersed.

The fire burnt the Baba tea stall located in Maharaj Bhog Prasadam, which contained millions of goods burnt. There was no loss of life in the incident as all customers and staff members present inside the restaurant were safely evacuated.

The firefighters reached the spot and extinguished the explosion within 10 minutes and no casualties were reported.

The fire was described in a tent installed by Om Prakash Pandey Seva Sanskrit and was from Rajendra Jaiswal, resident of Karma, Pramraj, Chief Fire Officer (Kumbh )’s Pramod Sharma.

On receiving the alert, three fire tenders were immediately sent to the scene. While the fire was vested within 10 minutes, the tent was completely enraged, the fire officer said.

The Maha Kumbh Mela has seen three major fire incidents besides several minor incidents.

On 7 February, the ISKCON camp in Sector 18 caught fire and spread to more than a dozen camps nearby. While no one was injured in the incident, about 20 tents were destroyed.

On January 19, a heavy fire broke out in Sector 19 due to the cylinder explosion. The explosion did not claim any life, but impressed more than a dozen camps. Last month, two cars caught fire in Sector 2 of the fair area. The fire was caused by a short circuit in a car that then spread to another vehicle standing next to it. There was no casualties in the incident.
