Ego and defect game
AAP was born of public emotion and romanticism to fight corruption rather than a political ideology. In fact, in 2013, Kejriwal promised that he would change the way you change politics in this country.
It was a ‘common man’, or public, who brought AAP to Delhi three times. But the same people also caused their defeat, because the party was distracted by what the party had promised to happen. Well, this is the second issue – will AAP survive it? Kejriwal has tasted power since entering politics in 2013. This is the first time he has tasted defeat in Delhi.
So, will this party, which has already seen some big desert, will just disintegrate and collapse? The actual test of a party is when it is not in power and how it keeps its herd together.
Despite the defeat, AAP still has 43 percent vote share, so not all are lost. After the loss of Delhi, Kejriwal was unaware in his message – that AAP would act as a creative opposition and continue to help people.
However, the CAG reports on ‘Sheeshamahal’ and the alleged excise scam is now hanging on Kejriwal like a sword and may have to go to jail again. The BJP would leave no stone unturned to highlight the alleged corruption of AAP, ensuring that Kejriwal and the company paid the price.
In view of the bitterness between the two during the Delhi elections, Kejriwal has no friend in Rahul Gandhi and Congress. The Congress, in fact, would prefer to give itself a rebirth to the AAP’s death in Delhi. Meanwhile, AAP can withstand challenges, it cannot be imagined – like an existent crisis.
Will Kejriwal now focus on Punjab, the only state where AAP is in power? The recurrence of Delhi’s loss will definitely be felt in Punjab, as well as the Congress in search of a mid -term election, if the flock of Bhagwant Mann made him a desert.
