Actor Kamal Haasan will be sent to Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu with the support of DMK of MK Stalin.

According to sources, Tamil superstar and actor-foot-royalty Kamal Haasan will be nominated from Tamil Nadu to Rajya Sabha with the support of DMK.
The next round of Rajya Sabha elections is scheduled in July 2025.
Tamil Nadu Minister PK Sekar Babu met Haasan at his residence on Wednesday.
Haasan’s Makkal Needi Myim (MNM) joined hands with the DMK -led coalition to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections last year. MNM also won a seat for this year’s Rajya Sabha elections as part of the alliance.
According to reports, Chief Minister MK Stalin assured a Rajya Sabha seat for Hassan as part of a deal during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Haasan then said that his party was involved in the alliance “for the sake of the country and he did not seek any post.
