Delhi CM is expected to finalize the BJP Postpone Meeting, oath ceremony on 21 February


The Bharatiya Janata Party has postponed the meeting of its legislature party scheduled two days later on Monday. Earlier, a meeting was held on Monday at 3 pm on Monday to finalize the name of the Chief Minister of Delhi at 3 pm on Monday.

However, the meeting is now postponed and will be held on 20 February, Thursday. It was also earlier also reported that the swearing -in ceremony for the Chief Minister can be held on 19 February which has also been postponed and possibly on 21 February.

The decision to postpone the meeting and swearing -in ceremony was taken in a meeting organized by BJP National General Secretary Blog Santosh and Virendra Sachdeva, Pawan Rana and others participated.

The Saffron Party won a broad majority in Delhi by winning 48 out of 70 assembly seats in Delhi, returning to the capital after 27 years. The party did not announce its CM face during the campaign or after winning the 5 February election.

Additionally, it was decided that CM would be selected after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France and America which concluded on Friday.

BJP leaders Parvesh Verma, who defeated New Delhi seat, Vijendra Gupta, and Satish Upadhyay, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, leading the top post of Delhi.

Pawan Sharma, Ashish Sood, Rekha Gupta and Shikha Rai are among other contenders for the post of Chief Minister.

According to reports, Saffron Party may also choose a woman to become the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Neelam Pahalwan, Rekha Gupta, Poonam Sharma and Shikha Roy are among the BJP MLAs of women who won elections in the national capital.

Saffron Party is planning a grand program for swearing in at its Chief Minister’s function. According to a report by NDTV, it has established its eye on Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.

The report said that more than 200 MPs and former party MPs along with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all NDA -ruled states are expected to appear in the event.
