According to reports, a customer recognized as Ravi Bedi found a dead cockroach in Paneer Tikka Sandwich, which he ordered at Sagar Gayer Restaurant in Ujjain.
As soon as he got a cockroach, he went to the city’s food department and filed a complaint. And later the authorities raided the restaurant and seized Sandwich.
In a news report, Ravi mentioned that the restaurant is known for selling unhealthy food and people have also complained about it in the past.
This is not the first time that a dead cockroach has been found in food. In another incident recently, a task force of the Food Safety Commissioner of Telangana inspected two popular restaurants in the region. On February 8, during the inspection by Telangana at the Food Safety of Fort at the fort, during inspection by Telangana’s Task Force Team, he found the exhaust fans smooth and dripping oil. The refrigerator was identified with a large amount of boiled vegetables stored in large quantities without any label. In addition, the pot was not cleaned properly. The kitchen floor was found with wet and improper drainage. The most important thing is that cockroach infection was found in the campus. And, insect control records were not available. Additionally, food waste was not being removed on a regular basis.
In addition, according to the X post by the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, inspection by Holmes Kitchen by Rajndranaga on 8 February, as a result of the following conclusions. According to the post, food waste was not removed at regular intervals. In addition, exhaust fans were found to be smooth and dripping oil. And medical fitness certificates of food handler and pest control records were not available. Additionally, many unilateable raw materials such as pav were found.
