Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday expressed his commitment to the development of the national capital to work with honesty and dedication after being elected the leader of the House in the Delhi Assembly.

In a post on X in Hindi, Gupta thanked the BJP leadership for repeating faith in it.

“I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the top leadership for handing over to me with the responsibility of the post of Chief Minister. This belief and support has given me new energy and inspiration. I vow to work with full honesty, integrity and dedication for the welfare, empowerment and overall development of every citizen of Delhi. I am fully committed to this important occasion to take Delhi to new heights, “he wrote.

50 -year -old Gupta was elected the leader of the House in the Delhi Assembly of the BJP Assembly on Wednesday evening.

He is ready to become the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Sheela Dixit and Municipal Councilor, Sushma Swaraj, Sheela Dixit and Municipal Councilor of Delhi University.

The new BJP government led by Gupta and his council will be sworn in during a grand ceremony at Ramilila Maidan on Thursday afternoon in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries.

She will also be the fourth BJP Chief Minister of Delhi after Madan Lal Khurana, Sahab Singh Verma and Sushma Swaraj, and currently the only female Chief Minister in any BJP -ruled state.

In the recent Delhi pole, the BJP won a decisive mandate by winning 48 seats in a 70 -member house, which ended the 10 -year rule of the AAM AADMI party, which managed 22 seats. The Congress created an empty space.
