Delhi CM Swearing-in ceremony today: Delhi Traffic Police today issued an advice on 20 February in view of the ceremony of taking oath of Delhi’s newly-taked Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at Ramlila Ground.
Traffic advisory has banned passengers who are planning their journey in the national capital as hundreds of guests are expected to attend the mega swearing -in ceremony. According to the advisor, major roads will be banned from 7 am to 4 pm on Thursday to ensure smooth traffic management amid the anticipated crowd due to the oath.
Sharing the traffic advisory on X, Delhi Police wrote: “In view of the swearing -in ceremony of Honorable CM of Delhi at Ram Leela Ground, New Delhi on February 20, 2025, special traffic arrangements were made. Please follow. “

Traffic restrictions:
Delhi Traffic Police advised passengers to avoid taking the following routes from 07:00 am to 04:00 on 20.02.2025:
- Bahadur Shah Zafar West (Ett to Delhi Gate)
- Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk)
- Aruna Asif Ali Road, New Delhi
- Hamdard Chowk about Kamla Market about Minto Road
- Ranjit Singh flyover from Turkman Gate
- Ajmari Gate to round about Kamla Market
People going to New Dehi railway station have been asked to avoid taking Ajmeri Gate Road and instead opt for Paharganj route.
Diversion Points:

- Ito
- Ajmeri Gate

General instructions for passengers:
- Use public transport to help reduce congestion.
- Park your vehicles only in specified parking areas.
- Avoid roadside parking for smooth traffic flows.
- Inform the police immediately in case of any unusual or suspicious objects or individuals.
- Passengers and the general public are requested to follow the traffic rules and follow the instructions given by the traffic personnel deployed at major intersections.
