In the alleged Muda Land Scam, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has triggered a political slugfest by the cleanliness of Lokayukta, the BJP alleged that the state government returned the matter investigating the case and saying that the issue Was politically motivated.
Lokayukta on Thursday presented a closed report of 11,000 -page against the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) against Siddaramaiah, his wife BM Parvati, Bahodi Mallikarajunswamy and Landon J. Devraju in the case of MUDA. The allegation is that Siddaramaiah’s wife was allotted 14 sites in the Vijayanagar layout, an upmarket area in Masuru, as compensation for the use of 3.16 acres of land in Kesare village near the city. The anti -corruption worker had complained that the state had lost Rs 45 crore.
Siddaramaiah has said that there was no wrongdoing in the transaction, saying that the plots were gifted to his wife by his brother.
Writing one of the complainants, Lokayukta said on Wednesday that there was not enough evidence to investigate against Siddaramaiah and the allegations seemed to be citizens in nature and were not “suitable for criminal allegations”.
The BJP has said that it has faith in Lokayukta, but insisted that the investigation was not done properly.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said, “We have full faith in Lokayukta, while the police officers who have investigated have been posted, appointed by the same Siddaramaiah. To clear, he should hand over the case to the CBI, otherwise A high court-monitor should be investigated. “
However, the Congress hit the BJP and as long as he was in its favor, accused the orders of Lokayukta or recovering with the rulers.
“I said in the beginning, when the BJP and the Janata Dal (secular) did their march from Bangalore to Mysuru, that this (allegation) is politically motivated. Their (Siddaramaiah) sign Even at a specific place, “Deputy Chief Minister Shivkumar was called by news agency PTI.
“There should be evidence to register any case, but there was no evidence in this case. Lokayukta has done his duty, if there is any objection to them (complainants), let them (legally) fight .. . Lokayukta is not just a police, it is an independent body, the Chief Minister has no control over it.
