3 disintegrated bodies found in Kochi Excise Quarter, suicide is suspected

Kochi, 20 February (PTI) In a suspected case of suicide, three disintegrated bodies were found in the Central Excise Staff Quarter in Kakkanad here on Thursday night.

The deceased is suspected to be a senior customs officer, his sister and mother.

According to police, the bodies were severely disintegrated, making it difficult to identify.

The quarters remained closed, and the authorities achieved complete access to inspect the complex entirely after hours of efforts.

The officers living there were on leave for a few days, but when he failed to return to work, colleagues visited their residence.

When detecting the smell of a dishonesty, he looked through an open window and hung a body. The police were immediately alerted, and when they entered the house, they found another body in another room.

The discoveries subsequently suspected to be the mother of the officer lying on the bed in another room to recover another body.

The family had been living in quarters for the last one and a half years, but allegedly kept themselves, while maintaining limited interaction with neighbors.

Decay bodies created a strong smell in the region, increasing doubt.
