Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2025: After a huge response to more than 6 lakh applications in its first round, the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme (PMIS) launched its second round, offering more than 1 lakh internship posts. The scheme interested in young professionals with 12 -month payment internship in leading companies in various fields including oil and gas, banking, hospitality, automotive, manufacturing and FMCG.
More than 300 top companies are participating in 730 districts in India, providing youth opportunities to gain practical experiences, creating professional networks and increase their employment. Applicants can choose internships based on location, area, field of interest, and even specify a radius from their current address for convenience. In this period, each candidate can apply to a maximum 3 internship before the deadline.
To increase awareness, more than 70 outreach programs are being organized across the country, colleges, universities and vocational training institutes are being targeted. Additionally, the national digital campaign is taking advantage of various platforms and affected to reach potential applicants.

The selected intern receives a monthly financial assistance of ₹ 5,000 and a one -time assistance of ₹ 6,000. The internship combines structured training with a minimum of six months practical work experience.
It is available to students who have not enrolled in full -time jobs. Apart from this, no one should have more than Rs 8 lakh per year to family members (self/spouses/wife/parents). And they should not have a government job.
