Sources said an Air India flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv was taken to Abu Dhabi on Sunday, when a missile was indicated after a missile landed near Ben Gurian Airport in Israel, the sources said. Flight AI139, operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was decided to rebuild it when it was less than an hour from landing in Tel Aviv. According to the flight tracking platform flightradar24, the aircraft was flying at that time via Jordan airspace. The missile allegedly launched from Yemen, landing near Tel Aviv’s airport, triggered emergency protocols and a brief stop in operation.
In a statement, Air India confirmed the incident, saying, “Air India flight AI139 was diverted to Abu Dhabi after an incident at Ben Gurian Airport for Tel Aviv on 3 May 2025 from Delhi.
The airline said its grassroots employees are assisting the affected passengers and helping them in the alternative travel system. Air India also announced a discount policy for those: “Between 3 and 6 May 2025, a one -time discount will be offered to cancel customers booked on our flights with valid tickets. A one -time discount will be offered.
Meanwhile, Air India’s return flight from Tel Aviv to Delhi on Sunday has been canceled.
