A 19 -year -old engineering student was allegedly raped several times by three persons in Parlta village of Kanchicherla Mandal in NTR district. In a private engineering college, a second year student, the victim was allegedly cheated by one of the accused who lured him on the pretext of a relationship.
According to the police, the victim, who lived in a hostel near his college campus, became familiar with the main accused through mutual friends. Over time, their friendship grew, and she allegedly proposed to marry her, which she accepted. Two months ago, the accused took him to his friend’s room in Kanchikcherla, where he joined a physical relationship. Unknown to the victim, he recorded pornographic photos and videos during the encounter.
The accused later shared these scenes with his friends, who reportedly used him to blackmail and threaten him. The victim was allegedly subjected to repeated sexual assault under the threat to leaking photos and videos.
Unable to bear the trauma, the victim contacted the Kanchericherla police and filed a formal complaint. Based on his statement, the police registered a case and detained the three accused: Sheikh Hussain (aka urine), Prabhu Kumar and his colleague Chintal Prabhu Das, who allegedly assisted in crime.
Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP) Tilak confirmed that an investigation was going on and assured that as per a report by the New Indian Express, strict legal action will be taken against the accused. The police is also investigating evidence including alleged photographs and videos to make a strong case.
