Annual Rath Yatra of Hare Krishna Movement

14^Wan The Hare Krishna movement, the annual Rath Yatra of Chennai was celebrated on Saturday with the idols of Shri Krishna and his associations, Rukmini and Satyabama; And Shri Gaura Nitai and Srila Prabhupada climbed a beautifully decorated chariot, which was taken out through the streets of Besant Nagar, Adir and Thiruvanamiyar.

Speaking before the yatra began, former Director General of Police KP Magendran appreciated the outreach programs to the youth and children of the movement. Madhu Pandit Prabhu, the spiritual speaker Dhamal Ramakrishnan and President of the GBC body of the movement and GBC body of the Akshi Audeshi Patra Foundation, captured on the occasion.

The Rath Yatra performed traditional dance demonstrations of Tamil Nadu by around four hundred artists, such as Kolattam, Karagattam, Puliatam, Kumiyattam and Thappattam.
