“I think we are always struggling with our seam attacks, but over the years, we have developed quality fast bowlers,” Shunto told reporters. “The way they are with Nahid Rana and Taskin (Ahmed) makes a big difference. As a captain, we like to see them bowling fast.”
Nahid, just ready to play his fourth ODI, made his international debut last year and quickly earned a reputation for his speed and accuracy.
“In the last few months, he has really bowled well,” shunto said. “Seeing him in action inspires our entire bowling unit and helps us pressurize opponents.”
Bangladesh achieved their Champions Trophy spots with a better net run rate on the Netherlands, while former champions missed Sri Lanka.
Shanto rejected the idea of favorite and Dalits in the competition.
“We believe that we can beat any team in this tournament,” he said. “If we execute our plans properly, we can beat anyone.”
India refused to travel to Pakistan due to political tension, playing all its matches in Dubai. If India reaches the final, it will be held in Dubai; Otherwise, Lahore will host the title clash on 9 March.
