The new-Crown Indian Premier League (IPL) Champion Royal Challengers BCCI BCCI Ombdsman-Athics Officer Justice (RETD) Arun Mishra directed the French to file written in writing as Velvet during the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) as well as Makhmali during Bengel.
Lokpal has given RCB And Ksca Following an official complaint filed by IPS officer Vikas Kumar, four weeks to respond. PTI Ombdsman is in possession of a copy of the instructions. The complainant has also urged the Lokpal to prevent the current owners from selling franchise until the tragedy is completed.
Justice Mishra wrote in his directive, “Looking at the gravity of the incident, it is considered appropriate that Karnataka (State) Cricket Association, as well as concerned franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, should be asked to submit their written reply for complaints.”
“The complaint has been filed on 04.06.2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in connection with the unfortunate stampede. The complaint alleged the gross negligence and violation of security criteria by Royal Challengers Bangalore ((RCB) Franchise, “The instructions continued.
“The complainant suggests that the accountability should be fixed. Prayers have been done for suspension of RCB To invalve franchisees and ongoing sales talks. “Justice (retired) Mishra also mentioned in his instruction that the complainant Kumar will get 10 days to enjoy the respondents.
“KSCA and Come on RCB Along with the copy to the complainant, file a written answer for their complaint within four weeks. Why showed the reason why prayed for relief and was not specified in the rules. Responsibilities can be filed to anyone within 10 days with copy. ,
Will RCB be ready for sale?
One of the possible reasons for demanding written explanation from RCB may cause growing speculation within the IPL circle that the franchise is considering a sale, the current owners have allegedly tried to distance themselves from the recent tragedy.
“It is apprehensive that the franchise may try to distance itself from accountability and possibly stop ownership to avoid possible consequences. Meanwhile, the status quo may be maintained,” it is said.
Recently, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) also held RCB responsible for a large -scale mob gathering, killing 11 fans, including women and children.
The tribunal also quashed the suspension order of the Karnataka government against senior IPS officer Kumar, who faced action in view of the deadly stampede. Kumar later challenged the decision of the Karnataka state government.
