Imphal:
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has submitted a report by a commission after seeing the alleged scams in the Joint Competitive Examination, which was discussed in the state assembly.
Investigating the alleged irregularities in the APSC Joint Competitive Examination, Justice (Retired) BK Sharma Commission said that former Chairman Rakesh Paul was joined in 200 meals and does not leave any way of doubt about such conduct on his behalf in the examination that Mr. Paul did not leave Mr. Paul. Not only in relation to two examinations, but also in other examinations, illegalities were related.
Two reports of the Commission in alleged irregularities in the APSC Joint Competitive Examinations (CCE) for 2013 and 2014 were placed in the assembly by Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma on Monday during the first day of the budget session in Kokraj.
The report stated that the scars were extended, and fake north scripts were made. Some 70 people, including Mr. Paul and more than 50 civil and police officers, have been arrested in the cash-for-Job scam, which was exposed in 2016.
“With that kind of situation, APSC can be imagined well for both selection and eligible candidates. All the affair in operating CCE 2013 and 2014 was abolished. A private A unit of job for the guild and external idea, whether it is monetary or other, “the Commission said.
The Commission said that Mr. Paul could not make illegal selection possible until the hands were expanded and supported for him. The call details of Mr. Paul and other accused revealed that “high dignitaries” were in touch with police personnel.
“While it is true that nothing can be held negatively responsible only on the basis of such calls and that cannot install any link with illegal selection itself, but the time of such calls Including that in general conditions, there are such calls. The report states that APSC is not expecting any more doubt that it is a case to consider this.
It said that some have been sent with services of some illegal appointments, many more are still in the administration occupying high and key positions.
“As cases may occur with such illegal appointment, can be well imagined. With their illegal presence in service, not only the administration and that case, the public will be damaged, but it will be damaged. The qualification and performance of qualified candidates will give a very wrong message towards compromising, “the report states.
Last year, the special judge’s court in Guwahati ruled for the culprits in the APSC Cash-for-Job scam. Mr. Paul was imprisoned for 14 years and his fine was Rs 2 lakh.
Former APSC members Basant Kumar Dole and Samadur Rahman were sentenced to 10 years in jail.
In 2014, at least 29 candidates paying for the Jobs of Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) were imprisoned for four years and each was fined Rs 10,000.
Mr. Paul was arrested by the Dibrugar police in November 2016 and was released on bail in March 2023.
Assam BJP chief Dilip Saikia said, “The report submitted by the Commission on corruption in the Assam Public Service Commission has completely exposed the neck-deep corruption and rapes made by the Congress rule under the leadership of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.”
Shri Saikia said, “To fulfill the task of pushing the abyss of darkness and to meet serious injustice for meritorious and qualified candidates, opening a market for jobs by the then government by the then government, according to the report,” Saikia said.
He said that the report revealed shocking revelations on former Chief Minister and his son Gaurav Gogoi, and proved that corruption and Congress are two sides of the same coin.
