Mixed martial arts fighter Connor McGregor on Thursday lost his legal appeal against a civil court discovery that she sexually assaulted a woman at a Dublin Hotel.
In November, a jury in the High Court in Dublin found McGragger responsible for attacking Nikita Hand, which says he “brutally rapes and battered” at a hotel penthouse in 2018. It was ordered to pay about 1.3 million euros ($ 1.5 million) in legal costs with around 250,000 euros ($ 285,000).
After the prosecution allegations, the 35 -year -old successfully sued McGregor in the Civil Court, stating that there was insufficient evidence and there was no possibility of a punishment.
Associated press usually does not name the alleged victims of sexual violence until they come forward publicly, as the hand has done.
McGregor alleged that both had coined the allegations as both had sex with consent. He started an appeal, but at a hearing earlier this month, his lawyer withdrew the request to present new evidence unexpectedly.
Three appeal court judges in Dublin on Thursday rejected the appeal “in entireness”.
The hand for the ruling was in court, but was not McGragger.
The 37 -year -old fighter, once the face of the final fighting championship, is now known for his prime past in the ring, anti -immigration statements and criticism of Irish politicians. He tampered with the idea of running for the President of Ireland.
US President Donald Trump, a UFC fan, invited McGragger to the White House to mark St. Patrick’s Day in March.
McGragger also faces a lawsuit in Florida, with Denver Nuggets to have sexual harassment with a woman for alleged sexual harassment in the bathroom of Miami Heat during the 2023 NBA final game with Denver Nuggets.
