Delhi New CM Declaration Live: The Delhi Janata Party (BJP) by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continued the mystery on the new Chief Minister of Delhi after about ten days after the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. The BJP MLAs were scheduled to hold a meeting to choose a new CM on Monday. According to sources, the meeting has now been postponed on Tuesday.
How is a CM chosen?
Usually, the BJP appoints supervisors from the party’s central leadership before the Legislature Party meeting. Observers meet new MLAs and respond to the central leadership before finalizing the CM’s name.

Once the name of CM is finalized. The oath taking will be held on 19 or 20 February.
Who will be del CM?
Several names have been floating for the possible Chief Minister since 8 February, the day the election results were announced. Top contenders include Parvesh Verma, who has New Delhi seat, Rekha Gupta (Shalimar Bagh), Vijendra Gupta (Rohini), Satish Upadhyay (Malvia Nagar), Ashish Sood (Janakpuri), Pavan Sharmi (North), Holiness Sharami (Answer) City), and Ajay Mahawar (Ghonda).
Who won the Delhi election 2025?
The BJP won the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 by winning 48 out of 70 seats. The election was a direct competition between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which was directly in power in Delhi.
AAP won only 22 seats. Prominent AAP leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj, and Satyendra Jain may lose elections.
