For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, Los Angeles in Academy Museum of Motion Pictures “Emotion in Color: A Calidoscope of Indian Cinema,” A curated selection of 12 prestigious films from India, running from 7 March to April 19, 2025.
The groundbreaking series has not been dedicated by a accurate filmmaker and conservationist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, founding director of the film Heritage Foundation, a non-profit organization, dedicated to preserving India’s cinematic heritage. The program examines the development of color in Indian cinema and its transformative role in the visual story stories and shaping emotional resonance.
There is a diverse selection of classic and acclaimed Indian cinema at the upcoming film screening.
