The Indian domestic season is set to start completely to start with the Dileep Trophy in Bengaluru from 28 August. The tournament will return to the zonal format this time. Last year, there were four teams in the form of India A, B, C and D. This time the mixture will have six teams with some big names.
With more emphasis on domestic cricket with BCCI and Indian team management, players will aim to impress the selectors and make their way into the mixture for India’s home season. The biggest name in the mixture is India Test Captain Shubman Gill, who will lead the north region. However, Health issues can limit their participation in tournamentEspecially with the Asia Cup on the horizon. Apart from Gill, the choice of Mohammed Shami, Yashvi Jaiswal, Harshit Rana and others would also like to affect.
The tournament will be played in the knockout format this time, with the finals starting on 11 September. West Zone and South Zone have already made it in the semi -finals, which means that the rest of the parties will fight it to enter the final four.
The first quarter -final will be played at the BCCI Center of Excellence at Bangalore.
