Shillong Lajong FC registered a second consecutive win as it dropped Rangdajid United FC 3-1 in the Group-E league match of the 134th Durand Cup at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Tuesday.
Traditional rivals worked hard for the lead, which came in the way of Lajong in the extra time of the inauguration of EverbrightSon Sana as a mark. But Mebansengain equaled Rangdajid in the 58th minute.
Lajong moved Gears and scored through Damit Lyngdoh (66th) and Gladi Kharbuli (80th) to secure the victory.
Lajong also went to the top of the standing with six points.
Sanan Mohammed scored the only goal of the match in the second half, which helped JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur to win the Indian Army football team in a group-C match.
This was the second gradual win for JFC, which now tops the group with six points.
