Success of success is success, and Bazball-era England has been a bright example of this.
Starting in June 2022, England chased six goals of 250 or more. Two of these have come against India-378 in Birmingham in 2022 and 371 in Leeds last week, which is also the speed of its top-two runs in history.
Captain Ben Stokes said further from the second Test on Tuesday (July 1, 2025), “We are convinced in our abilities that when we have to bat in the fourth innings, to go out and be able to be able to go out.”
“It clearly comes from a lot of good experiences in the last three or four years. Therefore, you are going there in the fourth innings, you are naturally confident. Nevertheless, 370, 370. [371 in Headingley] There is a lot of runs, and we knew that we have to play very well, very good. so, [there is] More confidence than last week, but this week is a new game. We start again from zero. ,
Stokes was also pleased with his body’s way of bowling 35 overs after six months after his body’s hemstring surgery.
“I made every effort to not worry about whatever I have worried about whatever I have worried normally,” said 34 -year -old. “But coming out of that game, feels good in all my mantras, being able to mantra throughout the day … all this is coming out well. I managed to maintain my speed, which was one of the things I wanted to focus on”.
