Krishna played an important role in the Gujarat Titans’ wide 39 -run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), returning 2/25 figures in his four -over spell. The performance helped him increase his lead at the top of the Purple Cap Standing with 16 wickets in the tournament, which is four more than the next best.
Speaking on Gehotstar, Morgan as a bowler highlighted Krishna’s growing influence in the major stages of the game.
“He is currently a purple cap holder, and his rhythm is simply getting better,” said Gostar expert Morgan.
He said, “We know that he has an additional bit speed to work, but you have to praise the strength you bring during the middle phase of the game.”
Morgan further emphasized the value of Krishna for the team structure, especially from the point of view of a captain.
“As a captain, having a seamor that can have that kind of effect in the middle overs is absolutely precious. He now finds himself the most wicket in this year’s tournament-there was some difference, in fact, four,” he said.

Coming into the match, KKR won the toss and opted for bowling first.
