Speculation about the local body elections, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis arrived at the residence of Maharashtra Navneman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray at Shivaji Park on Monday.
This is the first meeting of Fadnavis with Thackeray since he took over as Chief Minister again in December last year.
The Chief Minister is going to participate in the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bharat Scout and Guide Hall, Shivaji Park.
The meeting between Fadnavis and Thackeray is focused on the upcoming BMC elections.
All parties are preparing for local body pole including MNS. The party chief had recently held a meeting with MNS officials in which he directed him to expand the party’s reach.
Thackeray had allegedly made a strong comment about the assembly poll results in the state and expressed doubt about him.
The agenda of the meeting between Fadnavis and Thackeray, however, is not clear, but it is expected to move around the BMC elections.
