This year, Goa will witness the enthusiasm of the Carnival Festival from 28 February. There is a complete journey of dates and programs for the next Carnival of Goa, which is expected to be the largest so far.
Preparations for the traditional and very preferred carnival of Goa are in full swing. The Goa Tourism Department has selected Cleven Matthew Fernandes as ‘King Momo’, which will lead this year’s Carnival 2025. Helling from Benulim in South Goa, Fernands were selected from four applicants after a screening process. He will kick the four -day festival with a message “eat, drink and be mera”! The carnival will start from 28 February.
Tourism director Kedar Naik told PTI that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant would flag the float parade in Panaji.

Schedule of Goa Carnival 2025
28 February: Porvorim, North Goa, big curtain-raiser float will host the procession.
1 March: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will formally shut down the festival as the colorful procession travels to Panaji.
March 2: More vibrant tableaux and demonstrations mark the continuity of ceremonies in the routes of South Goa.
March 3: Vasco’s parade will highlight the regional craftsmanship and culture.
March 4: The ceremonies will come to a spectacular end with the final parade in North Goa, Mapusa and Morjim.
Goa Carnival 2025 attractions
The main attraction of Goa Carnival 2025 will be colorful parade, traditional dance, live music band and decorated tableaux. Every road in the city will be filled with joy. People will wear clothes in colored costumes and enjoy themselves completely. For red and black dance, people should wear red and black costumes. The Goa Tourism Department has appealed to tourists and local people to attend the carnival and enjoy the cultural traditions of Goa.

The Goa Carnival is also the heaven of a food lover who offers Pork Vinlu, Bebinka, Feni and Praon Balchao.
