Indian and Chinese officials organized another round of interaction of mechanisms working on consultation and coordination of India China border cases in Beijing. Countries are preparing to negotiate between special representatives later this year.
India’s Foreign Ministry said, “They exchanged the consideration of cross-border cooperation and starting resumed of exchanges, including Trans-Border Rivers and Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra,” India’s Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry said that India and China exchanged ideas at the beginning of the exchange in cross-border cooperation and diplomatic talks.
The ministry said, “India and China discovered various measures and proposals to influence the decisions taken during the final dialogue,” the ministry said peace and peace along the border are important for the smooth development of overall bilateral relations.
China welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on Monday (March 17, 2025) that India and China achieved “normal status” on the border after their meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the two sides were restoring relations in the pre -2020s before 2020, while ensuring that “differences do not form disputes”.

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri was in China in January 2025, during which India and China made several announcements on the future of their bilateral relations. He met Wang Yi, who is the Director of the Office of the Foreign Minister of China, the Office of the Central Commission of Foreign Affairs and is a Polit Bureau member of the party, and is also a minister of the Chinese Communist Party International Department Minister Liu Jiancho.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday (March 7, 2025) that India-China relations have made “positive progress” and have achieved a series of encouraging consequences at all levels after last year’s success after ending the four-year long military standoff in eastern Ladakh.
