New Delhi: Many awaited India Energy Week has prepared this Tuesday to kick this Tuesday in the national capital. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will address a press conference on Monday afternoon, where he is expected to share the details of India’s Shopis Annual Energy Program.
To be held from 11–14 February 2025, IEW 2025 promises unique global participation from ministers, CEOs and industry leaders. This will be the third version.
Construction on the success of the previous two versions, the IEV 2025 is ready to strengthen its position as an important meeting place for the global energy industry.
The exhibition location will expand from 65 percent to 28,000 square meters, while the number of conference sessions will increase to 105, and the global representative will be more than 70,000.
Energy Minister of more than 20 countries, including advanced economies, largest energy producers and countries of Global South, will participate in India Energy Week (IEW).
Ahead of India Energy Week 2025Global Commodities Information Services Provider S&P Global Commodity Insights said India’s refined crude demand would later reach its peak compared to other major economies, which will give the country a place in the spotlight to meet this demand.
In a note, S&P Global Commodity Insights stated that alternative fuel is gradually transferred to energy consumption patterns away from fossil fuels, the use of fossil fuels will be important in future.
India depends on more than 80 percent of its crude oil requirement. Various steps have been taken by the government to increase domestic crude oil production and reduce imports.
In addition, with increasing demand and limited new domestic reserves, dependence on liquidized natural gas (LNG) imports is expected to increase.
S&P Global Commodity India Energy Week run-up, insight into the same note, LNG imported more than 40 million tonnes by 2030, making India the second largest driver of increase in demand for LNG globally.
