Israel kills Hamas Commander in a ‘accurate’ strike, which is on the eve of the ceasefire deal – Times of India

The Israeli army ended the head of the Hamas operating department in Lebanon on Monday in a “precise” strike on a car in the coastal Lebanese city of Sidon- on Monday on the eve of the ceasefire agreement.

The IDF said, “Shaheen was an important source of knowledge within the organization and was involved in the entire war with various terrorist attacks, including rocket fire on the Israeli’s house.”
Hamas later accepted Shaheen’s death in the strike, identifying him as a commander.
Palestinian organization Hamas, who controls Gaza, maintains adequate operation in Lebanon and cooperates with Lebanese HizbullahIran supports both organizations.
The attack took place with Hizbullah on the 27 November ceasefire agreement with Most Lebanese areas a day before Israel’s planned return, although it would maintain five strategic positions.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoon on Monday expressed concern about the full return of Israel till Tuesday, stating that “the sponsors of the deal should bear their responsibility to help us.”
Both sides have claimed violations of the agreement. Conditions allow Israel to respond to immediate threats from the Iran -backed group.
Israel attacked Hizbollah military establishments in Lebanon on Sunday, in which Lebanese media reported three operations in the eastern region.
The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that the Israeli Gunfire killed a woman in the Hula border city on Sunday as the residents attempted to return to the villages under IDF presence.
On Saturday, Israel targeted the Hizbullah aerial unit member, in which the Lebanese media confirmed two casualties from an Israeli strike in the south.
The September invasion of Lebanon’s September invasion was aimed at combating the group’s continuous rocket attacks, which displaced 60,000 Israeli northern residents. Hizbullah’s daily attacks began the Gaza conflict, resulting in 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages, after Hamas’s attack on Southern Israel on 8 October 2023.
