Jammu: J&K police arrested two persons on Friday and seized an estimated 6 kg heroin worth Rs 30 crore, smuggled from Pakistan, from a village from a village Line of Control In Novashera sector Of Rajouri district of Jammu.

The case was registered after the seizure of 5.3 kg of heroin from the possession of the two accused, Sajan Kumar alias Vicky and Sabsh Chander.
However, Sonu, who was also an accused in another case registered under the NDPS Act last year, escaped for more than a year in Novashera, and finally landed in the police net on 5 February.
A police spokesperson said during his interrogation, Sonu revealed that he was smuggling heroin in India with his colleagues, Ashok and Sanjay -based operators.
Both people were unhappy, and were in possession of the smuggled heroin. On their disclosure, 12 packets, including 6 kg of heroin, were recovered from the core area. “Further investigation is underway to identify and catch other persons associated with this network,” the spokesman said.
