According to the official data released by the Uttar Pradesh government, at least 30 people lost their lives and were injured in a stampede in the Sangam area of 60 ragaz.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Hema Malini said in the opposition on the stampede of 29 January at the Maha Kumbh Mela on Tuesday that this was not a “big event” and the opposition is “exaggerating” it.

Asked about the opposition members that the government is hiding the number of deaths in the stampede, he said, “They will say that whatever they want … it is their job to say wrong things.”
The actor also took a dip during the stampede during the Maha Kumbh.
Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the government hides real death
Samajwadi Party chief and Kannuj MP Akhilesh Yadav questioned the Uttar Pradesh government on a stampede, claiming at least 30 people and injured 60 others.
Yadav alleged that the government was hiding the number of deaths in the stampede and demanded strict action against those who tried to cover “mismanagement” in organizing the fair.
“While the government is constantly giving budget figures, please also give figures of those who were killed in Maha Kumbh. I demand that an all-party meeting should be called to clarify about the arrangement of Maha Kumbh. The Maha Kumbh disaster management and the lost center should be given the responsibility to the army, “he said.
Trinmool Congress (TMC) leader Saugata Roy further said that deaths in the stampede in the ongoing Kumbh were one of the worst tragedies in independent India.
Jaya Bachchan claimed that water is the most ‘contaminated’ in Maha Kumbh
Samajwadi Party (SP) Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan on Monday claimed that the water of the Trivisi Sangam has been contaminated for prayer due to the recently dumped bodies of bodies due to the bodies throwing the bodies in the river.

Maha Kumbh stampede
During the Mauni Amavasya dip on 29 January, 30 people died and 60 were injured as a result of a stampede on the Sangam nose. Police said that due to the large -scale mob, devotees added to space, broke a barrier which caused an uproar.
Every 12 years are held once every 12 years, people participate in the Maha Kumbh to take a dip in holy water, it is believed to wash sins and purify the soul. The event has been set up on about 4,000 hectares and will continue till 26 February.
