On Saturday (July 5, 2025), Indian Javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra made the inauguration Neeraj Chopra (Nekan) classic as he realized his dream of hosting and competition at a world -class event in front of the house crowd and family members.
The 27-year-old Double Olympic medalist emerged the winner with a third round throw of 86.18 meters at the Sri Kantarwa Stadium seen by his parents.

This was his third straightforward title, who won Paris Diamond League (June 20, 2025) and Golden spike In Ostrava, Poland (June 24, 2025).
Kenya’s 2025 world champion Julius Jeo was second with 84.51 meters, while Sri Lanka’s Ramesh Pathiage (84.34 meters) was third.
Chopra himself organized himself in collaboration with JSW Sports and approved by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), the event included a world-seven-seven top international throw and five Indian athletes of 12 spear throwing, including Chopra.
NC Classic is given the category ‘A’ status by World Athletics.
Chopra, who violated the 90 -meter barrier in May, is winning the Osterava Golden Spike in 2025, where he won the Jewelin throw title with a best attempt of 85.29 meters.
