BJP leader Rekha Gupta has been elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi after being nominated as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party. She is the fourth woman to take this role in the national capital.
Eleven days after the results of Delhi elections were declared, it was announced as to who would take the reins of power in Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 48 out of 70 seats, marking its return to power in Delhi after 27 years.
Gupta’s election has been widely celebrated in social media platforms, congratulating politicians of both BJP and opposition parties.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his heartfelt congratulations and said, “I am completely confident that you will work with dedication to fulfill the resolution made by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi so that Delhi will be among the top capitals of the world One can be made. “

Shah further said: “I am confident that under your leadership, the BJP government will work day by day to meet the hopes and expectations with which the mothers and sisters of Delhi have blessed the BJP.”
Union Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari congratulated Gupta and said, “I am confident that under the leadership of Rekha ji, Delhi will be a source of pride for the nation in its progress.”
