New Zealand woman Captain Sophie Divine will not participate in the series against Sri Lanka in March as she continues to prioritize her goodness, the country’s cricket board said on Monday. The news follows Divine’s decision last month, which is to withdraw super smash and 2025 women’s Premier League after receiving professional advice. Liz Green, head of NZC, a high performance of women reiterated the importance of the player’s good. “We are fully supporting Sophie’s decision not to participate in the upcoming series,” Green said.
Green said, “Player Welling is our top priority and it is important that Sophie feels fit and well before returning to professional cricket.”
The series of White Ferns with Sri Lanka begins on March 4, with three one -day international and two T20s.
As captain, Sophie Divine played an important role in winning last year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE in October.
The all -rounder is on a milestone tail, scoring 3990 runs in women’s ODIs, an average of 31.66 with bat in international 50 over cricket.
Since winning the T20 World Cup with New Zealand in October 2024, Divine has been a part of the ODI against India, played in WBBL for Perth Scormers, and has also played the ODI series against Australia in late December.
In 2024, Dewin was retained before the 2025 auction part of the RCB title winning campaign. In the 2024 season, he scored 136 runs and took six wickets in ten matches.
After her return from WPL 2025, RCB chose Heather Graham as a replacement for Divine.
