The National Self-Service Association (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will reach Kolkata for a 10-day visit on Thursday-the long-long period he has spent a stretch in the state so far.

For the first half of his stay, Bhagwat will be in Kolkata until 11 February. On 11 and 12 February, he will attend a meeting of the All India Toli. The next day, he will visit ‘Central Bungs’ [middle Bengal] And on 14 February, he will inaugurate a new office of the Sangh. Bhagwat will then attend the ‘Central Bungalow’ workers’ meeting on 16 February.

In Kolkata, the RSS will meet the people of the chief association as well as their affiliated organizations. According to a senior practitioner, Bhagwat’s stay is important, “There has been a major demographic change in the region. Bengal needs many changes. It is important that the RSS chief meets members at all levels at this turn.

An RSS leader said: “Bhagwat will visit several districts including Burdwan, where he is expected to organize his only public rally on 16 February. He will also get major figures from regional RSS leaders, local activists and Burdwan and surrounding areas. These busyness expect to focus on strengthening the relationship between organizational development, community outreach and RSS leadership and local stakeholders. ,

According to RSS General Secretary Jishanu Basu, Bhagwat will reach the state from Kerala. Basu emphasized that the purpose of Bhagwat’s visit is to increase the spirit of nationalism within the Hindu community, which promotes ‘Swadeshi’ consciousness, and further the vision of ‘self -reliant India’, which is a major national aims at.
