Rome:
One of the doctors treating Pope Francis said on Friday that the 88 -year -old, which is pneumonia, would be “not out of danger” and possibly in the hospital “the next all weeks will be at least”.
Professor Sergio Alpiery said that the position of Pontiff was “a little better”, clarified that he was not bent for any machine – and said that Francis was breaking the jokes.
“The question is that the Pope is out of danger? No, the Pope is not out of danger,” he explained in a press conference at Jamelli Hospital in Rome, where Francis was admitted with difficulties in breathing on 14 February.
Started in the form of bronchitis, developed in double pneumonia, creating a broader alarm.
“If we send him to Santa Marta (her house in the Vatican), he will start working again as before,” Alphiary continued.
“So we are keeping him here. Right now, he is in the hospital, at least for the next week.
“We are keeping him here so that it will be difficult for him to overdo it when he goes back to Santa Marta.”
