His doctor said on Wednesday that Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has conducted a positive test for Koronwirus and is currently in separation.
Asif Ali Zardari, 69, moved to Karachi from Nawabshah and was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday after complaints of respiratory issues and fever.
President’s doctor Dr. Asim Hussain told the media that Asif Ali Zardari has signed a contract for Koronwirus.
He said, “It was confirmed after several tests, and now he is kept in isolation and his health is being monitored in the clock,” he said.
Hussain said, “A team of experts is taking care of the President and their position is improving.”
According to local media reports, Asif Ali Zardari went to Nawabshah to offer Eid prayers on Monday and held a meeting with his party leaders on Sunday.
Asif Ali Zardari has faced various health issues in recent years. He first conducted a positive test for Covid-19 in July 2022, although he only experienced “light symptoms” at that time. In October 2024, he suffered a leg fracture while deboard an airplane and was immediately hospitalized. After medical evaluation, his leg was placed in an artist.
In March 2023, Asif Ali Zardari also underwent eye surgery in the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan (APP) news agency’s state -run press said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif questioned President Asif Ali Zardari on telephone and prayed for initial recovery for him.
