IND vs Eng, 2 ODI highlights

“It was good, really enjoyed getting out of there, scoring some runs for the team. Important game, series on line. I broke it into pieces how I wanted to bat. It is a format that is longer than T20 cricket and much less than tests. Nevertheless, you need to break it, assess and bat according to the situation. I wanted to focus and bat as deeply as possible, ”Rohit said in the post -match presentation.

Apart from this, Rohit also revealed how the England bowlers were bowling in his body and had to look for gaps.

“When you play on black soil, looking at the pitch, the pitch skids a bit, so it is important that you show the full face of the bat. Then he was trying to bowl in the body and did not give rooms, so I also prepared my plan. I accessed the gap and of course, I got good support from Gill and then Shreyas, ”he said.

Rohit joined a large -scale inaugural partnership with Shubman Gill (60 runs 52) as the pair added 136 runs for the first wicket of 100 balls. He also added 70 runs for the third wicket with Shreyas Iyer (47 runs 47). Courtesy of his contribution, India successfully followed a target of 305 in 44.3 overs and took a 2–0 lead in the series. The third and last ODI will be played on Wednesday, 12 February at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
