Students, Provost booked notice for ‘Beef Biryani’ in Amu


Two students and a prominent Provost of Aligarh Muslim University has been booked in an FIR registered by the police, an increase in a line in a line to serve beef biryani for a day later.

The notice issued by two ‘authorities’ of Suleman Hall states: “Sunday afternoon meal menu has been replaced, and Beef Biryani will be served as per the demand rather than chicken biryani.”

After the backlash on the notice, the university administration issued an explanation that the notice had “typing error” and assured that those responsible people were issued a show-cause notice.

Vibha Sharma, a member of the Public Relations Department of AMU, said, “The matter was brought to our attention. We found that the notice was about the food menu. However, it had a clear typing error. The notice was immediately withdrawn as it was withdrawn Was no official signature, doubt about its authenticity.
