Top sources in the Government of Karnataka have confirmed a delay of three months in destroying funds to the beneficiaries under Gruha Lakshmi and Anna Bhagya schemes. However, the Congress rule clarified that the delay was not due to lack of funds but was due to “technical issues”.

Gruha Lakshmi Yojana, which provides Rs 2,000 per month to women, who are heads of their homes-including housewives, landless women and agricultural labor-have seen a delay of three months. With an annual budget of about 1.28 crore beneficiaries and an annual budget of Rs 32,000 crore, the scheme is facing technical issues with direct profit transfer (DBT) process, explaining by an official of the Women and Ministry of Child Development.

“So far, DBT transfer was done through a centralized system in Bengaluru. However, the amount of information and documentation became heavy, so we decided to decentralize the process. Deputy directors in various districts are being trained to handle DBT transfer monthly. The official said that it is only a matter of time, which has been organized.

Gruha Lakshmi and Anna Bhagya are two major schemes under the five guarantee of the Congress government. Other schemes include Shakti (free bus service for women), young Nipi (financial assistance for unemployed youth), and Gruha Jyoti (up to 200 units of free electricity).

The Siddaramaiah government is setting fire from the opposition, alleging that there is a major financial crisis behind the delay. The BJP accused the Congress of winning power and then for forming the government, of making long promises to cheat voters.

Mehroz Khan, vice -president of the Karnataka Guarantee Implementation Committee, told News18 that by December, the Congress government had implemented 97 percent of its guarantee. In addition to the current three months delay, all previous payments were distributed to the beneficiaries.

“The delay is due to technical issues, nothing more than this. It will be resolved soon. If the opposition wants to cry dishonestly, this is because they cannot accept that we are able to maintain our promises despite minor technical disturbances, which faces every government, “he told News18.

News18 accessed data on fund disbursement under five guarantee schemes by December 2024:

• Under the Anna Bhagya Scheme, 59.66 lakh beneficiaries have been registered, and Rs 9,775 crore has been discharged with a backlog of two months.

• Under the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana, 1.22 crore women have been listed as beneficiaries, and Rs 35,180 crore has been distributed with a three -month backlog.

• Under the Gruha Jyoti Yojana, 1.96 crore beneficiaries are registered, of which cost of Rs 16,079 crore.

According to government claims, under the Youth Nipi scheme, which has 1.78 lakh beneficiaries, Rs 149 crore has been distributed.

The Congress has denied any financial crisis or failure in payment, urging people not to believe the “rumors” spread by the opposition.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar dismissed the claims of the fund crunch, called him a “bunch of lies”, while insisting that his government would respect all its commitments.

“The Congress government is dedicated to fulfilling its promises, but it takes time to manage the plans of this scale. We talk This is not a question of lack of funds, but the time required to process and distribute them. The payment under the Anna Bhagya Yojana has been delayed by two to three months, but will be approved within this month, “he assured.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also defended the government, claiming that the schemes would continue without any interruption. He said that he was unaware of the delay of three months in payment and would verify the details.

Supporting Siddaramaiah, Khan said, “The Chief Minister does not take care of the day-to-day execution of the schemes. The system operates like a well -oil machine. ,

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, however, claimed that during his visit to Dharwad, he received several complaints from people, alleging that the payment was stopped for five months.

“As far as I know, the government has not paid people for ration reimbursement in the last five months. Lakshmi funds have also been delayed for three to four months, and it has become a recurring issue, “Joshi said.

Meanwhile, the State Food and Civil Supplies Minister K. Khanyappa admitted that Anna was a two -month backlog in Bhagya payment. He said that due to technical challenges in the processing of monthly payment, funds for the scheme were being dated every two months.

The BJP has intensified its attack on the Congress government, which demands clarification from Sidaraiaiah for these schemes in the state budget for Rs 52,000 crore.

“Where is that money now?” People are worth knowing. How does a CM not know whether the money has been given or not? Is he not the Finance Minister of the state? Has the funds been diverted to other departments, or have they disappeared like Valmiki Corporation’s fund? None of this is detectable, “the alleged leader of the opposition Shalwadi Narayanaswamy.
