Union Minister Hardeep Puri on Monday (June 23, 2025) asked terrorists and separatists to doubling efforts to close funding channels and unite to combat global threats, as they paid tribute to the victims. Air India Flight 182 Kanishka Bombing On its 40th anniversary.
On June 23, 1985, before landing at the Heathro Airport in Britain, the Montreal-London-New Delhi Air India ‘Kanishka’ flight exploded in the flight 182, killing all 329 people, most of whom were Canadians of the Indian dynasty.

The Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mr. Puri, was included by Irish Prime Minister TaCich Mitchell Martin and Canadian Public Safety Minister Gary Anandsangari to pay tribute to Kanishka victims in the Ahakista Memorial in County Cork, about 260 km south of Dublin to pay homage to the victims.

According to Air India Flight 182 Archive, built by McMaster University, the Ahakista Memorial was unveiled on the first anniversary of the bombing on June 23, 1986 and has a garden, a beauty, and a round stone wall that is mentioned with each person’s name.
Family members of the passengers and the crew of the aircraft gather at various monuments prescribed every year for the victims.
According to RTE, the Irish Public Service Broadcaster, some 60 relatives of the victims were represented on Monday (June 23, 2025) at the annual ceremony at Ahakista near Bantry near Bantry, which is the nearest point on the land at the accident site.
A report said, “The ceremony at the Memorial Memorial started at 8.13 am with a one -minute silence, when Air India flight 182 exploded. After this, a tribute was paid to families and Hindu and Christian readings.”
