Ramgarh:
A person allegedly locked his ailing mother at home in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand and along with his wife, children and in -laws went to Prayagraj for a holy dip in Maha Kumbh, the police said on Thursday.
Police on Wednesday rescued a 65 -year -old mother from a quarter of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in Subhash Nagar Colony under the limits of Ramgarh police station.
The woman was locked in the house since Monday and survived the Chura (flattened rice). Police said the neighbors came to know about him when he cried in hunger for help, the police said.
Ramgarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Parmeshwar Prasad said, “Elderly woman, her son, Akhilesh Kumar, identified as Sanju Devi, had closed her CCL quarters from Monday. Her daughter to inform the police to inform the police He was saved on Wednesday. He said that Kumar is a CCL employee.
Mr. Kumar informed the police that his mother was unwell and after making all arrangements for his food and drinks, he came to Prayaragraj, another police officer.
Chandni Devi, a woman who lives about five kilometers from the CCL quarters in Kahubar, said that she got information about her mother over the phone from neighbors.
Devi told reporters, “The police rescued her after breaking the lock. Neighbors immediately gave her food. She was also given medicines and admitted to CCL Hospital.”
Ms. Devi said that her brother Akhilesh Kumar got a job at the Dayalu Maidan in CCL and is working as a shovel operator in the Arada area of CCL in Ramgarh district.
