Many people were admitted to the hospital on Saturday as they suffered suffocation due to congestion in platform number 13 and 14 at New Delhi railway station. While Delhi Fire Services said that the “stampede -like” situation broke at the station to injured 15 people, Delhi Police put a stampede.
The footage shared by social media users has shown a sea of crowd on the platform being tried to go to trains for Varanasi via Prayranasi in Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, both trains reached the stage behind their schedule time, causing the incident. Passengers were on their way to Maha Kumbh Mela in prayer.
