The tropical storm Chantal has formed the South -East American coast. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) at Miami says a tropical storm warning has been issued for parts of Carolinas. Tropical storm situation is expected in the affected areas after Saturday (July 5, 2025).
EDT (6:30 pm IST) at 9 am, the center of the storm, Charlston, South-South-South-South-South-south of South Carolina, about 150 miles (240 km) and about 240 miles (385 km) in the south-south-west, was located in the south-west of Northern Carolina.
The maximum continuous winds of the chantal were measured at 40 mph (65 kilometers per hour). It was moving northward at 2 mph (4 km per hour).
The Hurricane Center said that the center of the Chantal is expected to cross the coast of South Carolina on Sunday (July 6, 2025). Some additional additional stronger is expected to be strong before reaching the Chantal coast.
