This protest has come in view of the comments made by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and DMK leader Udayanidhi Stalin.
Stalin, while addressing a rally on Tuesday, strongly criticized the BJP -led Central Government’s National Education Policy (NEP) and three -lingual policy, warning that these policies could endanger the future of Tamil and its speakers. .
Stalin highlighted the threat created by Hindi for regional languages, claiming that Hindi had already oversee many languages in North India and Tamil could also be at risk.
The Deputy Chief Minister clarified that the people of Tamil Nadu would not allow the Center to force these policies to them. He also expressed his concerns about NEP, saying that it was an issue not only for DMK but for the future of Tamil children across the state.
During his speech, Stalin urged the opposition AIADMK to join DMK against these policies. He insisted that political parties should keep their differences separate and be united to oppose the allegations of Hindi and NEP.
“They want to impose Hindi again. Not 100 but thousands of people will sacrifice their lives for Tamil. I urge the Center not to do children’s education or do politics in their future and release money, “he told the crowd.
